Has anyone made any phone calls to any shops about a possible 2.5 convertion/adaptor kit that would use the existing 2.5 sentra kit to be used in our 2.5 a/c?

Its all about the money. If you want it they can do it. What im saying is that they will make a kit specifically for your car but most likely wont try and mass market it. 5 to 7k and you can be running 225 hp.

The man speaks the truth...

You've got to keep in mind that the QR isn't built to handle boost. Nissan's engineers built it to be light...not tough. If you do go FI, odds are you'll also have to replace a lot of the stock internals too (add on another $1-2k right there). There was a guy on the b15 boards that boosted his QR pretty successfully...I think he was running 225hp at 6PSI with no tune whatsoever. With the tune I believe it got up to 240-ish, and he topped it out at 8PSI (can't remember the dyno specs from that run though...)

Like dldjros69 said, if you've got the $$$ then anything is possible.

I hate when people bring this up as a response to questions like these, but since i already attempted to answer the question and give positive feedback here i go.

5 to 7 k for the turbo/installation1 to 2 k for forged internals ect

7 k is a huge amount of money for 225hp, 240hp, blah blah blah

Take the loss on the trade in and get a 3.5, the 7 k should cover the difference.

270 reliable hp vs 225.

Plus if u got the extra cash after, turbo that bad boy.

Thanks for the input guys. I guess I'll be patient and enjoy the car at this stage, mods will come in time.

You make some great points. Get the 6CYL if you want the horsepower. It was designed to put out that much so it won't explode on you most likely. You run that risk if you boost the 4CYL.

Ive toyed with that idea many times but if i was gonna get rid of my A/C id have to get someting with RWD to replace it.

Im totally not buying it.

Sentra estimated whp=160

10hp per boost at 8lbs=8020hp per boost at 8lbs=160

whp-240 or 320

im gonna go out on a limb and say 240 maybe but 300 i doubt it. That would be like 360 bhp.
