Hi Timmbo,
Warranty covered the cost. The troubleshooting would have determined faulty sensor if codes were read. The service writer just thought since it was slick, this was expected, I couldn't convince anyone there was a real fault. Until when I spent $1k in tires, the tire shop found he couldn't mount new tires until the truck air bags were filled to proper height. Was @ or very near bump stops. So, when dealership found that news they read codes and whalla!, bad ride height sensor code. I waited for new sensor, a week, away from home, @ Thanksgiving time, in Mt. Service tech did a great job, the service writer could be a TSA guy now, he'd meet the requirements for sure. Patience is a virtue, out in the western plains you get used to this, you really are at the mercy of fate. Hey, I have to drive 80 miles to get a mickey D's. Any way, fixed the trouble, and life goes on with a smile!
