I will replace my hood release cable, when I get the new one, any tips I could use, would be helpful. I've thought that taping a length of wire to the old one and fishing it through the firewall , and the pulling it through to the cab to start. Then reversing that to pull the new one back into the engine compartment. Thanks.

Happy holidays and welcome to NICOclub! Glad to have you here in the Armada forum.

I have never done this, but that sounds like a brilliant approach to replacing the cable. Have you consulted the service manual here on NICOclub?

Hey Timmbo!
I found what I needed! It took a little searching through the service jargon. Thanks, greatly appreciate your help. I'll pass on what I find.
By the way, I had a trouble with my armada rear level sensor, sensor failed in winter and rear end dropped to the bump stop zone. Rear end tracked back and forth ,and on icy roads. I had the sensor r/r'ed and back to normal, just the way it should be. Again , Thankyou!

No problem, that is crazy that the rear air went out already. How much did that cost to repair?

Hi Timmbo,
Warranty covered the cost. The troubleshooting would have determined faulty sensor if codes were read. The service writer just thought since it was slick, this was expected, I couldn't convince anyone there was a real fault. Until when I spent $1k in tires, the tire shop found he couldn't mount new tires until the truck air bags were filled to proper height. Was @ or very near bump stops. So, when dealership found that news they read codes and whalla!, bad ride height sensor code. I waited for new sensor, a week, away from home, @ Thanksgiving time, in Mt. Service tech did a great job, the service writer could be a TSA guy now, he'd meet the requirements for sure. Patience is a virtue, out in the western plains you get used to this, you really are at the mercy of fate. Hey, I have to drive 80 miles to get a mickey D's. Any way, fixed the trouble, and life goes on with a smile!

I used a solid #14 copper to fish from cab into engine comp. Connected to fished flexable wire from latch to cable, that was pulled near the brake master cyl assy. Plan worked.
