Guys! WHAT IS UP...new format HERE and on CarDomain, I love it. I dont know if anyone noticed I haven't been on much. I'm 21 and just graduated from college, im now a certified electronics engineering technologist. I got a job right after i graduated with Evertz Microsystems, we do HD film production and TV broadcasting equipment. The headquarters is right here in Canada but most of our business is with the TV networks in the U.S and hollywood. I use my blackberry for all my websurfing now and i always peek in on the forum just haven't had much to say as i peak in during my breaks and stuff.

The qxxx4 has been solid. Me and my dad refabricated the stepside on the drivers side, search for the post its somewhere on here. We also painted the whole undercarriage black, so it looks brand new everywhere. I also got new stabilizer links installed, replaced a lower ball joint, and as of last few weeks had a major vibration issue on the highway....my mechanic fabricated these centering rings today for me and it solved the problem. Apparently my wheels are actually for chevy trucks, bolt pattern is the same but I needed these rings for them to fit right, and now i have them! including a spare just in case.

I also hit 150,000kms recently! and my new job is 5km away so I drive to my hometown of windsor alot...300km away to give my engine those good highway drives. ive also been filling up with shell v-power quite a bit.

oh i finally finished my blue led conversion thanks slickroger for the red center idea on the 4wd knob

anybody know where i can find this stuff? i cant find it anywhere in canada anymore

Image

and a recent shot of the q, i just did nufinish scratch doctor, touched up deep scratches, and waxed. Guys try Ice tire polish by turtle wax, it comes with a brush on the nozzle...works awesome

anyways thats an update, im gonna try to post more and think of things i can do to make the q better, ive been working on getting it running new lately, boring stuff but i love how it drives for its age now!

Those hubcentric rings look like alloy? They look decent, mine are made of ABS plastic and feel pretty cheap. Offtopic of the Q, but is that a LionsHead in between the garage doors?

Q looks great, congratz on the job, sounds pretty cool!!

Yeah its a lions head. I live with my parents still me and my girlfriend are saving for a down payment on a house....next year if all goes well.

Not sure on the material. The rings feel pretty heavy. They were custom machined for my rims....real precise edges it looks cool...I hope they don't break any time soon

I would highly doubt those hubcentric rings you have will break. Mine are made of ABS plastic, they are really light and flimsy feeling but I think they will be ok. Stay as long as you can with your parents-great time to save money! Tell your P's those lion heads look awesome.

And glad your back on Nico too!
