I just got a 2016 QX80, but I need a map for another country since I'm not in the US. Is the Infinity map format proprietary or can I download garmin or some other map format to the nav system? Right now I'm using Waze on my phone, but the Infinity nav radio does not have android compatibility, otherwise I'd just use screen cast and put Waze on the infiniti display. Actually the whole audio system seems outdated for such an expensive vehicle.

Navteq provides the maps for Nissan/Infiniti. They were purchased by Nokia and now form part of the Here business unit.

Well, bit of a late reply. Apparently they have no plans to expand map coverage and it's a proprietary format. So I guess I just keep using Waze. Car manufacturers should really abandon proprietary crap.
