Picking up new QX on Monday, and I'm sure topic of extended warranty will come up. In the past I always got one for my GM and Chrysler SUV's and it always was a lifesaver. I know this is a much better car. I did purchase the extended on my 09 MX35 to go to 7yr or 100K. Since it only has 20K on it right now, I will never see 100K before 7yr. So far never needed anything. So I feel like I didn't need it really .

I have no real knowledge of other past models and their issues to make an informed decision on the QX. I get concerned with the electronics now days, which is why I got the warranty on the M, but kinda thinking to just not do it. How many got one?

If it means anything, I am have been an Infiniti tech for almost a decade and I purchased the top of the line warranty when I bought my G. In my experience it is the best piece of mind you can purchase...if you plan to keep the car beyond the standard warranty. Purchasing the Infiniti Elite means that you can walk into the dealer and have the vehicle repaired just like it were brand new. Hopefully you will never need it but....if you do it tends to pay for itself in one or two visits.

I am going to purchase a new QX60 at the dealer. I negotiated a 96 months/120K mile extended warranty for $2800. Is it a good deal? The dealer told his cost is $3390. If someone has any insights, pls share before I commit. Thanks.
