It's the evil stepsister of the new Rolls Royce (with a water retention problem).

I rike.

'Bout time Infiniti stepped up and gave that God-awful LX470 (or whatever the hell they call it) a big ol' black eye.

Same 5.6 as the Armada isnt it? if so then its got good power. After steering at it for a few it does kinda grow on ya.

"Steer" at it too long and it will win the head-on! Mass does matter.

By the way, the HP is increased to 315 for this application.

Cool! FYI, I believe that the LX 470 is being discontinued, too boring in its current state. A new Toyota Landcruiser is on its way -- looks like an old FJ40 bred to a Hummer. I would assume that Lexus will rebadge as its top SUV.

I don't particularly care for that gaudy front end, but oh well, I'm not the target market (no kids, no soccer practices, no boats, no bling bling). It kinda flies in the face of the current Infiniti trend- sleek, different, and no more gussied-up Nissans.

We have an FX in the showroom on 22's. Although I despise the current "bling" trend, it DOES look spectacular, and I think the QX56 would look stunning with a set of 24's.

Hell, if you're gonna be impractical, go all the way! :D

The QX56 overall size/style looks AWESOME, some of the (not so subtle)cosmetic features seem quirky, but that's just part of the newness.

SIDE NOTE: Am I the only one somewhat bothered by this move to excessively expensive tires on cars from the manufacturer? I know they price for good 20's will come down, but it took forever before 17's became affordable and the entry being 20's (or even 22's) seems too much.(Please excuse this side topic ramble)

me no like...its doesn't appeal to the eye at all...that bulky back makes me think of those trucks with camper shells or those Xterras...I just can't get used to it..i think the FX35/45 looks a lot better.

Too much bling bling, not really my thing, but much better looking than that darn Lexus thing!
