About 2 years ago someone hit the back of our car pretty badly. Ever since my wife's been claiming the car has always pulled to the right even after new tires, multiple alignments etc.

I was getting an oil change at a friends mechanic shop and he noticed this. Can't believe we've been driving it like this for such a while. Drives straight after replacing it -- but now the death sway is a lot worse. Guessing those bushings got loosened up a bit!

Im guessing the person who hit us hit our spare tire which pushed this bar forward and bent it. :werd:

Yup, that'll do it.
Cool that your mechanic found it. Kudos to him.

not to put you on the spot.... but the pulling you describe, is that the same issue you've been posting about regarding replacing the trail arms (ie. death sway experience)?
I inspected my pan-hard shaft and it's not bent nor the joints bad...
i appreciate any feedback - just wanting to make sure I attack the right areas for the slight sway (death sway) I'm experiencing.

BTW - the other thread I'm following from you is this one:

I'm experiencing the same exact thing when pressing/depressing the gas pedal.

If you have that sway/uneasy feeling when you press/depress gas pedal then it is your trailing arm bushings. You have a total of four arms (two upper two lower). I replaced my upper and lower one although I don't think the upper ones necessarily needed them. The lower ones were completely gone,

You can buy the poly bushings and get someone to press them in and pay a lot more labor but have a permanent solution. Instead I just bought all four arms on amazon for $190. I'll deal with the problem in another 100k I guess!

After placing new trailing arms, the car feels completely different.

Good luck
