Hi I have a 2001 Infiniti QX4 and yesterday the driver seat doesnt wanna move forward. It moves in all the directoins except forward. I also have a problem with the seat memory it stop working, it lights and everything but i wouldnt run the saved position. Another thing is that the easy-access the car has also wouldnt work. I am guess that it might be some kind of break-down with the fuse. Could somebody show me how to fix this problem?

Ok here is your seat problem. The pathfinder is the same vehicle as yours and this bulliten applies to the Qx4 as well. His failure is a little different but the TSB reffers to your problem. These are the parts needed to fix yours.zerothread?id=119510

Now you say "easy access" Are you reffering to the remote control? If thats not working properly try replacing the battery in the remote. If that doesnt resolve your problem you could have something wrong with one of the entry switches or the multi remote control unit itself.

hey nistechwell i kind of got lost in the forward you sent me. The problem i have is much much small than they guy in the article. Mine is basically the seat doesnt move forward nor backward perios . Another thing is the easy access i meant was i have a button on the left side of the steering wheeling near the lightning leveling button that has functions as an easy access out of the car and that doesnt work. So could you kindly comment on that.

P.S. I took the car to the dealer and he said that the motor for the seat itself is not working and needs to be replaced for $600 @@ ( u know how things are at the dealers)

He was right about your seat, and that was what the bulliten is for. It replaces the motor and gears.

What exactly does this "easy entry" open? Is it like an eject button?? kidding of course. I am not sure though what this button is your reffering to. perhaps a pic if thats possible?
