QX4 System Tips

I don't know anything about installing a system or what I need. My friend who owns a Mustang is buying a new system and says that he can install his old system in my QX4, 2 subwoofers and amp for $300.

The is what I'm getting:

Do I need anything else? Any recommendations. I'm using my QX4's factory speakers and cd player. Is that gonna be a problem as far as quality or setup? I don't wanna ruin or blow up something. And does anybody have a link on how to install the amp to the cd player?...Or on how to do this installation. Any help would be greatly appreciated because my friend has only installed **** on American made Mustangs. He said that I needed some kinda key to remove the cd player? I have no idea...If someone could explain how this works and what I need to look for...It would be great.

Not looking to spend much more but at the same time I don't want there to be any problems thats gonna cost me more either.

So basically what your doing is adapting this to the bose system, right? Does your amp have "speaker level imputs".. if it does, its realy easy just tap right off the speaker leads... otherwise your going to have to do something a bit more crafty.... Youll have to get a line level converter, it converts speaker level outputs to RCA...

I did something very similar on my Q45 which basically has the same setup as your QX... Youll have to figure out a way to turn the amp on and off... I had a switch in the cabin that controlled it.... I wanted to be able to control the sub seperate from the rest of the system....

i did this to my pathfinder by hooking the remote of the amp straight to the ignition input for the radio, then put a toggle switch in the line which i mounted right beside the 2 heated seat control by the gear shifter. works awesome and blends right in.
