So I came across an ad on ebay for a qx4 that listed speed sensitive steering as a feature

I assumed they were mistaken until I did some googling and found this:

"Stabilizer bars are featured front and rear for improved handling and driver control, while vehicle speed-sensitive rack-and-pinion steering provides precise control and driver feedback."

(this is for 2000, but later years says the same too)
:gotme

I always thought that mechanically, and for the most part, electronically, the Pathy and QX4 were the same.

Can anyone confirm? - I'm pretty sure one of the guys on here has both :wavey:

My 02 QX4 window sticker says "Engine-Speed-Sensitive Rack-and Pinion Steering", not "Vehicle-Speed...".

Dont know but come to think of it, when im at really low speeds or parking, the steering wheel is easy to turn, while im driving faster and taking exits its more resistant, maybe it does? or maybe thats just how it normally is lol.

I feel no matter what speed I am at, turning resistance is pretty much the same.

I once test drove a 2011 F-150 with this feature and it is quite noticable, so I guess QX4's don't have it. hmmm
