Qx4 rattle sound.

Hello, I have a 97 qx4. While driving, I started to hear a rattling sound. I stopped and checked it out. It is coming from the engine and it sounds like a can with marbles. No overheating. I continued to drive it for 1/2 hour. Turned it off for 1.5 hours and started it and drove for 1 hour on the highway. The performance is not affected and the noise is in all gears. It does not get louder during acceleration, just the same tone. If anyone has an idea, please let me know. Thank you.

Is the engine oil level in the correct range? Is the coolant level in the overflow reservoir between the MIN and MAX lines when cold? Do you live in a state which salts roads? How many miles do you have on your QX4?
