My girlfriend is looking for a luxory SUV, she's shown great interest in the Infiniti QX4. What features should we look for? mileage? her price rage is up to 15K, will this be enough for a nice used one? Any help is greatly appreciated.

If you're looking for ideas of what's available in the local market, I found that Puyallup Nissan's (Korum) online used selection is rather large. Worth checking in on. I must have passed over 20 listings for Infiniti Qx4.

Another good resource is to search on ebay and limit searches to "Dealer in your area". Then you can go see the car in person and test drive it. Ebay cars are usually below market value because of the low cost of advertising.

Thanks for the info. In about a month we're going to start test driving some cars. She's shown interest from anything from a QX4 to a G20(newer). Nice to see all the interest in Infiniti, it sure is gonna suck having to test drive all of these new Infiniti's i don't know how i'll manage :) :) :) :)

The QX4 is a very good car. Not many problems at all. Engine is very strong, the only thing I would worry about is the suspension, rear coils/shocks have been known to go at about 60K on the older models (97-99).

Don't even consider a pre-01 QX4... Go with the increased power.

Aso, be leery of 02's, as many of them made it into (believe it or not) rental fleets.

An 01 or a non-rental 02 is a great buy.

sadly power isn't an issue :(. She's actually afraid of anything that goes too fast, she's looking for comort and safety. I guess that's women for ya. I'll see what she things of getting a newer model. Although she has plenty of $$ she isn't looking to go nuts, just wants a reliable used car. She is, however, defently motivated for luxory, so i will explain that spending extra now will benefit in the long run.

I really think the G20 would suit her best. I'm told that while it could use more power, it handles well enough and gets the job done efficiently, with plenty of style and comfort.

she's defenetly interested in both. The best part is i think she's settling on an Infiniti. She was shopping around for lexus, BMW, and Mercedez. after price comparions there's just no contest.

You get what you pay for. Remember that if she buys the infiniti and later decides to get something else, she's going to have a hard time selling it and will take huge loss as infiniti's have poor resale value (except G35's).

Lexus, MB and Bimmer, although you pay more in the beginning, hold their value much better...especially the Lexus. I'd look into an ES300 or RX300 for her.
