Hi

I been reading all the great tips and will have my Q serviced for this problem, I will have a good mechanic I know do the work and wanted to know how much time I should plan for the job to be done.. Is there any hoses that should be replaced under the plenum? My Q only has 28,000 miles but I am sure the hoses under the plenum will be brittle and probably need replacement. Any other service I should do while this is being done? Last thing do you use blue locktite or red?

Thanks for your help

Nissan bills for about 2.8 hours, found from reading the NPORA thread. A Nissan service manager recommended red threadlocker in that same thread, since he says there is no reason you would ever need to remove those screws for service. Not sure about your hose question; I do know that at least three gaskets (throttle body, and two gaskets between the upper and lower plenums) will be required if your mechanic does not take off the lower intake plenum. You can read this thread for details about the gaskets and procedure, complete with pictures.
