qx4/ pathfinder transmission question

I have a 99 qx4 with a bad transmission....imagine that. I have been having a lot of trouble finding a used trans for a qx4 with decently low miles. I was wondering if I could use a trans out of a 4wd pathfinder. The transmission ID RE4R01A is the same for the pathfinder and qx4, but the part numbers are different.
