Hi I'm Lee. I'm new to this Website. My wife's '01 QX4 has been giving me the "1320 code" and cyclinder 5 misfire. I've read through archives and from what I have read it looks like I need to replace coil pack #5. The car has 112K miles. I read in the archives not to use the Bosch plugs. What would you all recommend?

And while I'm at it, should I replace all the plugs? I'm guessing they are all original. Other than this new problem, it's been a very good truck. Is there anything I should watch for or common problems with replacing coil packs that I should know?

I appreciate your help. I've got to keep the wife and kids safe on the road, ya know?

Stick to NGK plugs, last time I replaced I got a set of six for about $40 new on Ebay, when replacing the coil make sure you know your manufacturing date they liked to change the coils all the time.

Definitely change all the plugs, especially if they are still original. If you change the plugs first, try moving the coil pack to another plug, then see if the code follows the coil pack. (Maybe it's just a bad plug).Stick with NGK too, like everyone says.

Stick with NGK, that's what the Nissan engineers had in it on the dyno.

I'd swap the coil pack to one cylinder, the plug to a different one. Be sure toblow out the hole with compressed air before pulling the plug. I'd blow it again after about the first 1/8 turn on the plug.

How many miles on the plugs? At 112K miles, it's overdue for the first plugchange if it hasn't been done.

And I'd get out the owner's manual and figure out what ELSE hasn't been done.

i have the same problem with q45, mine only showed 1320 and engine was misfiring pretty bad. i changed all my coils and engine stopped misfiring but the 1320 is still there eventhough i erased it several times, it always comes back the next time i start the car.

check my forum at 1320 obd

Just an observation....Interesting to see how some threads seem to come back from the depths every once in a while. I was reading through this thread, and then realized it originated over a year ago. It's also interesting how some people sign up on NICO, make one post, and then disappear forever. Makes me wonder if the original poster ever bothered looking at the responses or got his problem fixed. While I'm thinking, I've also been wondering lately where some of our past contributors have gone. There are (were?) a few guys who posted almost daily, and suddenly they're gone. Wha happen'? Oh well. That's life.
