QX4 MUFFLER REPLACMENT COST TO BE EXPECTED ?

Mine is a 1997. Just getting words like needs new muffler and just one quote at 180.00 dollars to replace from the header.

That is about how much I paid for my old car when there was a leak in the muffler and the pipe after the cat had a rusted hole in it. It was from one of those independent shops. Took them about 2 hours to do and the bends and welds were top notch.

the backend of my muffler is blown out. just dropped off to the muffler shop tonight. cool owner having a beer after work. just smiled when i said no surprises please had enuf of those today. AC belt went out today just after setting up appmt. for muffler, lol my mechanic verified it was the AC belt, so no worries here in the Chicago suburbs with no AC. right now in early FEB. will try an post some pics of the work when completed.
