QX4 Keyless Entry

Anyone here have any luck with buying used OEM keyless remotes for your Pathy/QX4? I have one and I programmed it last night. Works to unlock the car but not to lock the car. Panic button also doesn't work. The remote has the right code I believe (KBRASTU10). The remote also says Model/ A. Is there a Model/ B or something out there that might work on my vehicle? I'm hoping to get some information from people who've been able to get the OEM part to work completely. I know there are aftermarket ones that may be more reliable and cheaper, but im stubborn and I want the cooler looking original part with the Infiniti logo on it. Any info/advice is much appreciated.

For remote compatibility information, check out the links I posted here. You need a Model A or 01A, depending on your manufacture date, but I got two KBRASTU15 types to work for me.

The fact that it unlocks but doesn't lock the doors makes me think that there's a problem with the remote (or possibly the receiver unit). If you don't have the right model it won't work at all. Try cracking the remote open and see if the contact pads are worn off or something. I think most auto parts stores have remote testers that they use to see if the battery is dead. I think those machines will be able to tell if all of the buttons are properly transmitting a signal.

As far as the panic button, I have to hold mine down for a few seconds to get it to go off.
