I figurd I try and write out this problem, but its much easier to take a video. Basically, when you turn the key, sometimes nothing at all happens, sometimes it starts.... Sometimes it takes 10 turns, sometimes 2, Ive had to wait 3 min before.

The cluster always lights up, its just like the starter just isnt clicking over.

Dont mind the s***ty idle, my maf is bad and one is now on order, or the exhaust rattle lol

Have you checked the starter relay, alternator, battery and starter?

Best idea ever, I wish more people would do that. Now I completely understand what your talking about. Thanks

It seems like your not getting a "Start" signal. The easiest way to see where the fault is is to do try the following. -Get a test light-Climb under the passenger side of the truck behind the front wheel and infront of the B pillar, locate the starter.-Put the test light lead in series with the starter signal wire (smaller wire) -Have an assistant try to crank the engine-If the light illuminates then you have verified you have starter signal (ruling out many other components)

If your test light stays off, first ensure you have a sufficient ground (always check it twice) then you will need to do a little more testing. Try that first and post back and we can work from there.

Ok I will try and test to see if the smaller wire going to the starter is getting power, I have a multimeter, but no "test light"

Might have to invest eh

And to the first post, yes i checked my alternator wires, cleaned connectors, checked ground. Also redid my battery ground wire with 2 perfect 2 gauge grounds. Both batterys are new if that matters

I have done nothing involving the starter or starter relay though

O'll crawl under and see what I can gather from the starter in the am, if it stops raining
