QX4 F and R badge removal

This is probably common with Pathfinders too, but on my 03 QX4, how do you remove the emblems. The Infiniti ones as pictured. Grommet? They don't feel glued on. Tricks? I want to remove them, but not destructively, I never know when I might want to take the Datsun sticker off I have planned for the location.

Since it could be "CAN of WORMS" glued or grommet , paint it black or better yet match the blue paint
Seems whatever you do with emblems - if like that Infiniti - your gonna somewhat still have the "base outline".
But yeah some you just want out o' there

No, I'm much more warped than that. I want to put these on, front and back. I liked Datsuns, IMO Infiniti is just to pretentious for me. If it was something like this maybe I could handle it,



But this is what I'm looking at. And I don't think I can go over the top to do it.

I don't know if anyone cares, but the emblem is located by a pair of pins, and double face taped in place. A little work to remove the tape and adhesive, polish it out and install sticker! Woo Hoo, now I've got my Datsun logo on it!



And now, looks like factory. Almost.

Easy, I liked Datsuns, I didn't even like the name change from Datsun to Nissan, but IMO Infiniti is just to pretentious for me. It's a badge engineered Nissan Pathfinder. If it was something like the regular infinity symbol I might go for it. But a goofy circle with a Vee at the bottom?
