i have an 2003 infiniti QX4 - i was moving last week and the movers got to our house late in the evening and needed me to keep my headlights on to aid in moving our furniture from the truck into the house. well, now when i turn my headlights on my dashlights go off - how irritating. i would assume i probably need to replace a fuse, but i am not sure what to buy or where in the car the fuse i would need to replace is~ a little assistance and i would be ever so grateful! thanks!

yeah, on the left side just under the ac vent (or at least in the 99's) theres a series of switches like to turn cruise on and a security light...theres a rounded knob/dial you turn left and right, that adjusts how bright your dash, and even turns them off. Happened to me before while cleaning too

hmm sounds promising - it was the mover that turned my lights off so it's possible he was fiddling around! i'll check it that out~ thanks :D

Yeah these cars are way too reliable for things like that to break. I'd put money on the dimmer switch.
