QX4 Blower Motor

2001 QX4 - Blower motor stopped working overnight. Fuses are OK. Is the relay located where the fuse panel is inside the car. There is also some discussion about a Resistor for the motor I have seen and it mentions it should be fairly easy to replace. I cannot find any info about this alleged resistor or where it is located. Would like to check both of these out before spending any $$ to replace the blower motor. Thanks

The resistor is located by the blower motor, you have to take the glovebox out of the car to gain access...... I thought I posted on this one other time, if you have problems finding it i will post it again!

elwesso, i am pretty sure that i have the same problem. I have 01 QX4 and the blower is stuch on high speed, i called the orlando dealer and they quoted me 175 for the resistor. Is the Pathy resistor the same and how hard is it to change out. I know my way around tools but i am more of a contractor than a mech. Please adives

I don't know if this will be of much help, but I just replaced the resistor on my 2003 Sentra Ser for similar problems, and it only cost $30.00. It was an easy job. Located in the same place as mentioned above: just behind the glove box.It would be interesting to see if the part is the same. A blower is a blower, as far as I can tell anyway. Good luck.

if its anything like my 96 pathfinder i just went to the junkyard and got a resistor out of a 95 sentra. it was the same blower unit it looked like. i dont know about the QX4 tho because of the auto control and all that
