QX4 Antenna Removal... fende off??

My powerred antenna got vandalized while I was either at the mall yesterday or at the movie theater, its kinked badly somehow and doesnt even retract all the way.

The dealership here in my town has only 1 left and its fairly cheap so I was thinking of replacing it. Just by glancing at it I am unsure of how it is to be removed and if the fender has to be maybe even come off... Im hoping it can be disconnected from its wires right at the base aswell??

Has anyone ever tackled this antenna before??

They got the mast, not the motor, right?

You can replace just the mast, from outside. See the FSM.

No its motorized, I just want to remove the antenna completely really. And install and aftermarket one straight to the back of my aftermarket headunit.

I peeked at it today, looks like Ill have to remove the passenger rear fender liner and hope I can get access to it that way. And trace it into the car to I guess to fully remove it

If you need to remove the fender, this TSB will help you remove it. The FSM doesn't seem to have instructions on fender removal. I remembered this TSB has excellent instructions.
