I made an account after the endless amount of lurking with anything Nissan.
Temporarily, I needed a car for my basic needs and occasional camping adventures
A friend's of a friend's grandpa was letting go of his 1999 QX4 with 90ish k miles (150,000 kms) for only $1100. Few hundreds in repair later I'm on the road.
Sure enough, I get a letter from Infiniti about a few recalls. No big deal I assume. I call them and I was informed about the rust recall.
I found a pdf detailing the procedure for the technician and when I looked at the drivers wheel well, most of the plug welds were gone and the bottom end of the strut housing connecting to the rest of the body and integrated frame were disintegrated!
They will be shoving me in a loaner soon enough
To my surprise, they said that there might be a chance on buy back of the vehicle. A car that's almost 20 years old now??
By any chance they do buy it back, what offers have you guys recieved and taken? Any fellow Canadians that have gone through the same process?
