Looking to replace the reverse lamps with LEDs.
Does this require removal of the license plate finisher piece?

Just joined this forum, I have a 2002 QX4. I just installed super bright 921 LED bulbs in mine. I removed the two bolts from the handle inside the rear hatch, then pried up the bottom of the interior liner, there are approximately eight plastic pins holding it. After separating the lower part of the inner hatch liner, you don't have to completely remove it, you have clear access to the backup light sockets and connector plugs through the openings in the sheet metal. Just twist them to remove them.
