Purchased my 09 Murano in Mar 08. At work I park on a sloped parking lot with pasenger side down hill. When fuel is <1/4 tank I find that the electronic gauge does not register when I start the car at the end of the day. I drive to teh top of the hll on a level spot, stop the car and restart, then is registers 1/4 tank of fuel.

It's not really a major crisis, just qwirky. Just thought someone esle might have the same problem.

I have not noticed the problem you speak of, but lately I have been dealing with another fuel gauge issue. To preface, I own a 2009 Murano SL, roughly 17,000 miles. On cold mornings (i.e. when the exterior thermometer in the Murano registers 28 degrees F or lower), my gas gauge needle gets stuck (or frozen??) at about 1/8 of a tank. This has happened to me 5-6 times in the past 2 months. Every time, my tank was at least 3/4 full, and yet the needle only registered 1/8 tank. To get the gas gauge to function properly, I've had to drive for about a half hour to warm up the car, and then turn it off and back on again. When I turn it back on, the fuel gauge needle rises to the correct level. It's very frustrating to have something like this happen every time it is very cold outside, and if I didn't have the "miles remaining" indicator (fuel economy computer), I'd have no idea how full or empty the tank is!

Has anyone else had this problem? At my 15,000 mile service, I brought up the issue to my dealer (the problem had only happened once at that point), but they did not appear to identify (or fix) the problem. I'm heading back for a routine oil change in about 2 weeks, and will definitely be complaining about this problem again.

Just wanted to see if anyone else has noticed this issue.

Thanks everyone!Will
