I can get a A'Pexi VAFC for really cheap and I was wondering if I can make this one work on a KA24DET just like and Apexi SAFC would?

For the price I can get it for ($150) I can't really complain if it works for my purposes, I will just have to ignore all that vtech crap thats on it

$150 is pretty decent. i have seen safc go for that low before, but you would prolly have to wait around to find a deal like that. so it is probably better to go with the vafc

Are you sure? I don't think the VAFC will work with the Nissan sensors, especially since the KAs use a MAF and not MAP on the intake manifold. It's definitely not documented in the VAFC manual hosted on the Apex'i site. I'm trading my VAFC straight up for an SAFC when it's time to start tuning my truck.

If I was able to use a VAFC with my truck, I would have wired it in already- and ran the VTEC output signal to a shift light or something.

AFC stands for air flow convertor. It only functions with MAF cars.

Take lots of pics when you're done with the install. VTEC powered nissan owns.
