18th birthday today..yippee. Seems like everyone but me forgot about it too, oh well. GF and I are having problems, as usual (I'm telling you the girls I've gotten with have to be spawns of Satan...), and everybodys all like why are you down. Oh well guess I had to get it off my chest. Please I don't want/nor do I expect this to become a pity thread...we've had enough of those already.

Maybe I'm too nice...?

Oh well, at least you didn't spend your birthday driving 12 hours straight back home from Colorado, and having no party.

Yeah, being too nice sucks. Women can sense a nice guy and most of them will walk all over you.

Dude, eighteen sucks, anyway. Now twentyone on the other hand kicks butt. You cna get drunk legally. Now all you can do is smoke. And what fun is that, if your not drinking.

Anyway, I hope you birth day ended up a little better. :D

HAPPY BIRTH DAY!!!!

PS could have been like me. I turned 27 last week and my own mom forgot. That's ruff.

Rob, don't even sweat it, bro. Today a new girl at work, 24, intelligent, unmarried, no kids, visually stunning... I'm talkin the ultra-rare 9.5 out of 10 type.... comes up to me and says "hey, after work would you like to go have a drink with me?"

Talk about worst timing evar!! My father's poor health requires me to race home and look after him when I'm not working.

In summary: Poor pathetic me, I had this absolutely stunning beauty(a RARE thing is this state) standing in front of me, asking me if I'd like to go get soused with her, and I had to turn her down. I suppose there's an upside, as I was instantly awarded sympathy points for being so selfless... I was also given an open-ended rain-check. Maybe next week, the Smitty will have a chance to close the deal...

ZERO, man, the rest of your life will fly by. Don't end up like me, unable to accept an invitation from a woman of stunning beauty, to get drunk and do who knows what....

...I swear to you, tomorrow you will wake up and you'll be 30. Enjoy your youth. Savor every moment, take every chance you can, do everything you think you can't, and be sure to date at least one asian woman......catch every moment and cherish it......because it'll all be over before you know it.

On the plus side, I get away with stuff I couldn't do when I was young, I have a nice office and a secretary, I don't have to worry about spending my whole paycheck on some date that will probably go crappy, my insurance is cheap as hell, and I have sex with a gorgeous woman twice daily... Bah, it's a good gig. :D

Rob, whoever gave you directions last night should be smacked. I tried to take the birthday boy, pardon me, MAN, out to Hooters last night at about 9:45 and he got lost. =\ After multiple dropped cell calls and random expletives, he finally shows up outside the building at about Midnight, when they close. But it wasn't a total waste. Right before Rob pulled up, some ther guy rolls right buy us into the Valet parking section with a new Lotus Esprit.... :drooling

P.S. - Hatchbacks aer bettah. :D

Rev, that's dark, man. I've heard that retire women can really be fun. They are not looking for a long-term relation ship, either.;)

AZ, does you wife know you have sex with a beautiful woman twice a day?:D

I can't give any advice, because I've never had any rocky realtionships... or any worthwile ones for that matter. So you'll get no pity from me! ... But I will say I hope things work out for you.

Just an update on my coments: Tonight, I had the chance to close the deal with the aforementioned young lady. Well worth it. Young men listen up!! This is what you do. Buy a house. Don't be too eager to let young women know how well you are doing financially, as everybody hates a loud mouth with too much money. Do it with style, class, and above all, discretion. Form a conversation around what your plans are, but don't bluntly offer information. Get their little brains working. Get them to start thinking 'wow, this guy's got his crap together' and they will melt. Use caution though, some broads will give as little as possible, while trying to take as much as possible.

Revrend Mike and Hitman, I actually owe you both a debt of gratitude for your comments. I finally stepped out of my comfort zone, after a full year of avoiding the dating scene. This move instantly paid off. Life is good, even if we don't see it that way at a particular moment. Life is what we make of it, so to all you young men out there, get off your arse and take a chance once in a while!!

Phil...:D grinning from ear to ear, baby!!!
