Quietest exhaust for NA 2 seater?

Newbie here- old guy but just bought my first Z, 43K mile 1990 2-seater on BaT. Car is awesome.

Anyway, it has a new Billy Boat exhaust that (for me) is great above 3000 rpm, but waaaasy too loud and boomy below that.

I’d like something that was as quiet as oem. (I told you I was old.)

Car also came with an oem exhaust, h-pipe looks ok but the mufflers are trash- rust holes and internal rattles.

Looks like parts are NLA from Nissan.

Looks like Magnaflow offered an oem-grade system under their BRexhaust brand, but it’s not available- either out of stock or discontinued.

Rock Auto and Napa show nothing.

Any other ideas? Anyone have a minty set of oem mufflers that they took off 30 years ago?

I think the OEM is still the better option if you want a quiet exhaust. We got Magnaflow from 4Wheelonline and it does loud under 3k rpm but good harmony over that.

Yes, as I said I'd like oem exhaust but it is not available.

"Normal" replacement mufflers also no longer available.

The only thing I can find are louder-than-oem exhaust systems, and I already have one of those.

Just bought used oem mufflers on ebay, fingers crossed.

I also have a BB exhaust.

One thing I did last week was to line my entire trunk area, including some of the area behind the fenders, with inexpensive sound deadening material, then placed a moving blanket in the wheel well. I can tell it softened some of the low frequency sounds in the cabin.
