Quiet interior of car

Hey guys I have a question well 1st off can you put an x pipe or h-pipe on a 94 300zx and will it quiet down the interior noise. I put my exhaust on the z and it has still has cats and aftermarket mufflers. But took out resonator. I didnt realize once I took out resonator that it made interior noise loud. Can someone please help. One more thing can i just cut a piece of pipe and put it in the center where the resonator was taken out and call that and h-pipe.

Do like my car has done to it, put a Magnaflow X-flow muffler in where the resonators used to be. No restriction + quieting things down = what you want. Mine has no mufflers afterward and its loud so I'm eventually going to add some mufflers but its just getting back on the road now so im more worried about what potential problems come up rather than exhaust at this point.
