POk, so I’m experiencing a bad hesitation. I know this could be caused by a bunch of things, but when I add timing with my power FC(in test mode) it seems to drive perfectly. However, we are talking about a bunch of timing (+30deg). So, I assume that my base timing is off. I set it with a light and nothing changes. So, I start thinking that maybe the chain is on wrong or something, but when I pulled the valve cover everything looks perfect.

Two thingsOne, when I first completed my sr swap it wouldn’t fire. I rotated the CAS 1 tooth counterclockwise, and it fired. :D so, what would happen if I went another tooth? I think it would be bad again, am I right?

Two, if I add a bunch of fuel with my power FC (again in test mode) the hesitation goes away in the low rpms, but it won’t rev past like 4k or so. So, what the HECK is wrong here? I’m not even sure that it is my timing.

Please help, TIAkris

did i change a tooth? i was out there playing around with the CAS and it looks like it could only be on one geer tooth with the second dot lined up and the bolt holes (that tighten the cas down) able to be bolted up. it is just that the first knight, the tooth seemed to be the only thing i changed and if fired.

so, what is it when you are 180 deg off? how do you know when you are 180 off?

it wont run 180 off. Does the car ever rev over 4k?

yes, the only time it won't rev is when i add fuel. it's almost like the hesitation moves from 1-2k rpm to 4 +.

i fell like i've tried everything, and besides adding 1,000,000,000,000 degrees of timing on the power fc nothing has seemed to help.

have you tested all your coilpacks? If one of those was sparking weak that *could* do what your saying.

i tested the resistance between two of the connection pins, like the fsm said. they were all within spec. i know that the 3 easy to reach coils are sparking, but i don't know how to tell how strong the spark is.

wait-a-minuit, with the motor running i disconnected each coil one-by-one and the idle droped a bit with every one. so, each cylinder is working. whatever my problem is it is happening to every cylinder.

i just don't know.
