Hey...

im installing my shocks and springs. When they installed them, they oriented them wrong so it wont line up when you go to bolt in the car..

I moved the shock assembly (twisted) so it goes in, but not the bottom part of the spring doesnt match up with that notch...... its proabbly about 2in away from the starting point...

Is that a big deal???

Sorry, can't post much this weekend as I am totally swamped literally 12 hours/day. I really don't know the answer to that. Aside from the riding just a tiny bit higher, I would *guess* it's probably OK. If the lower flange on the strut starts to bend then you'll know there isn't enough area to take the load, but again I think it's fine. This is another reason I DIY at home--if I screw up the alignment I can tweak it right there. I can't keep the isolators in the same spot and turn the spring while on the car.

Well, I'll be the one to say the seats are there for an obvious reason, and if Nissan didn't want the springs installed in a particular orientation, they would have designed a flat spring seat.

If it were my car, it would be back tomorrow.
