quick wiring question

I finally put my RB harness into my car. Woot. Anyway, Heres what Im looking at. On the RB harness JUST AFTER the plug where it goes into the firewall, the harness has a plug that goes into a brown box (I took the whole box with it lol) and another thing of shielded wire with a small plug that did go under the Skylines wheel well. On the KA, this box is green and on the other side of the car. I took a guess that since Ive removed my KA harness already and it still pluged into something that Its running on something different and these wires wont be used. I just want to know for sure.
