Yeah, My first thought was the '57 Fairlane as well. Never even heard of the T-bolt. Looks lika odd though. I'll take the '57 any day.

And That Peugeot... :\ Not a big fan.

I like the pugeot from the front. It's the 35 feet they had to add behind the cabin that kills it.

Nope. I'm with Greg: the S15 looks bad from every angle. Pontiac styling, goofy roofline, and that weird crease that sort of just...happens...down the sides.

The S13 coupe is far more attractive from a pure design standpoint.

It does look kind of pontiac-ish at times. I don't really like them in stock form, but I have to agree with Razi on this one, they can look great.

However I can't stand the varietta.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that. Every time I say anything of the sort, it's like the world as we know it is coming to an end. I think everyone loves it for the same reason they love the Skyline: It wasn't available here. Granted, they can be done well, but I think the S13 can be done even better.

The Peugeot looks kinda nice for an old car. Id like to see another angle.

Umm Ill agree that the back end of S15s look iffy but everything else makes up for it, especially the signiture headlights and bumper. But, IMHO all verts except maybe like 2 in the world look awful to me. I would never buy one of any make/model.

The real differences between the aforementioned vehicles and the Skyliner are:

A (Peugeot): Factory built vs. custom coachwork manufacture, very limited production. (Anything can be custom-built)

B (Chrysler): One-off prototype. Retractable hardtop? Yes. Deemed suitable for production? No. This essentially amounts to a factory built custom car.

They're both examples of retractable hard-top cars, but not even close to the same category as the Skyliner. Comparing one-off cars to a vehicle produced in excess of 40k over a few model years is apples to orange pulp.
