Quick, what's the manifold vacuum suppose to be at idle?

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

Mine's hovering around -0.8bar (about -12psi). It looks like I have a vacuum leak somewhere, but need to verify what it should be at.

-12 psi is huge man ... I think you mean -12inHg, but anyhoo, I get about -22inHg

btw: I have kae, but it should be close

idle = 14-16"coasting in gear = 19-21"

I have the blitz turbo timer with the built in digital boost gauge.

At idle with no throttle it's reading -0.70. Two of my friend's SRs read about the same, and they have a different engine. My third friend also with an SR, reads about -21 inHG.

Just confirmed, -21 inHG is about -0.71bar, so I guess I don't have any leaks. :)

I hate unit conversions.

Ditto on the the conversions. I think your vacuum is pretty good though.

Yes, you can call them any units you want, as long as the conversion factors remain the same.

1 bar = 14.7psi = 29.9 inHg = 760.2 mmHg

so -21 inHg comes out to be 21/29.9 = ~0.7bar. Hopes this helps.
