Hi,

Are the settings on the circled bolt in this picture important, or does it just hold the wastegate in place? I want to remove it so I can slide it through a hole in the turbo wrap I ordered rather than cutting a big slit.

Thanks,

Darian

Lengthening or shortening the total length of that rod will effect the boost pressure the turbo makes.

Shorter = more boostLonger = less boost

This applies up to a certain point. You can can't set it any lower than what the spring pressure is, and shortening the rod too much may cause the boost to creep in higher RPMS.

Kinda, that looks like a HKS adjustable, just clamp it with vice grips, or tape it. Remove it. Wrap your turbo then re-install it. It sets you boost pressure, moving it will change how much you boost.
