Quick Valve cover gasket Question

Hey guys I'm replacing my valve cover gasket today and I had a quick question I couldn't find the answer to. I just wanted to make sure that when you apply liquid gasket on the half moon shapes you do not put any in between them right? Like you just put it on the bottom of the half moon shapes and that's it right?Stupid question I know but I just wanted to make sure, thanks.

yes, just on the curved part, not on the actual deck of the head.
