Not quite yet...I called the tuner shop and he's having some weird problems, he wired in the Haltech and now the tach is maxing out with just ignition on, he said the haltech software is registering 16,000 rpm with the key on (engine not running). This car is annoying...the thing is, this rpm problem was not happening when I gave it to them - so it's the problem is obviously their doing. I hope this gets worked out soon, dying to get to drive it...float_6969 wrote:Glad to hear you're finally gonna get it up an running!
Not knocking haltec, but I've seen experienced tuners catch hell with the haltec systems. Don't call the car annoying. The car is not the problem, but those who've installed components on it either not being experienced in what they've installed or simply not doing a good job on it. Anywho, don't let the little issues discorage you. And please, know when to say when it comes to suggestions from people who've been where you're going and have done what you're attempting to do. Good luck and I hope they get that issue fixed.campground man wrote:

Thanks for the words of encouragement. As far as the wiring issues I know it's the tuner shops doing since I have a factory ca18de ecu/harness, you know clearly the only changes to wiring on it is the dropping resister which is ridiculously simple. The only wiring problems I've had is the speedometer cluster as in wiring the pulsar harness to power the sentra cluster - which the only issue I had with it was the cluster not lighting up when the headlights were on (which I fixed). That should give no problems concerning the issues they are having which means any problems they're having is their own doing. Hopefully this will get straightened out, I'm definitely tired of waiting...boost_boy wrote:Not knocking haltec, but I've seen experienced tuners catch hell with the haltec systems. Whoever's doing that install for you should not be telling you that it's something on your end. One of the reasons why I started doing my own work to include tuning because I've watched a friend and fellow haltech tuner take a customer's car to the dyno only to blow his engine and blame it on the haltech system. My advice, don't get played because they will try you. Let me know if and when they gt this thing up and running, so I can make sure they don't cause you to blow your motor only to have them blame it on the haltech system as well.campground man wrote:

They havn't said it's on my end...yet. But I know how many shops & garages don't like to take responsibility for their mistakes either.boost_boy wrote: Whoever's doing that install for you should not be telling you that it's something on your end.
