Seeing as I put my first post in the wrong place (durr) I'll try it again.

I'm looking to upgrade my turbo. I own an 83 DR30 Skyline with the FJ20et. It currently has a Trust/Greddy td07s-25g and I want something with similar power capabilities but with less lag. I'm planning for around 450-500hp at the tires. Any help would be great.

Ferris.

The rest are over here.zerothread/227144

And a local FJ expert would be dandy. The more I can learn about this engine the better.

You should get it today or tomorrow and I was sure to include those dirty schoolgirl panties you asked for. I had a heck of a time scoring those, she wanted bookoo money.

I am no FJ expert just someone who has some experience with it which is hard to come by these days. I'll help if I can.

Nah, I don't want more, just more efficient. (You want turbo lag? I got your turbo lag right here buddy.) Something will balls (bearings that is) but with similar hp capabilities. And the manifold is HKS with the 4 bolt garret flange. And so you've had experience witht the FJ20 eh? So does the cast iron beast live up to the reputation? I've seen the connecting rods out of one and they're like babies arms. . Also have you seen anyone upgrade the ****ty flap style MAF before? And if so how did they go about it. SAFC, stand alone, or other? And help would be great.

I always blew through my MAF. There are swap harnesses to use the Pulsar GTi-R computer to run the motor. I would recommend if you wish to get serious to ditch the whole harness and computer and go standalone. My cell phone is more powerful and accurate than the computer in an R30! I have been told by people more knowledgable on turbos that the Greddy ones are old designs notorious for lag. A nice Garrett T04R would be dead sexy and bolt right up. I would do that with mine if I didn't hve the twin setup sitting on the shelf.
