Breifly:

Got my CA18DET and the headgasket was blown. Cleaned it out and it was horrible. Oil gunked up and brown sludge everywhere. I finally got to the turbo lines and wow, they are also horrible.. I cleaned them out and noticed they were junk. Obiously the inside of the turbo is going to be like this too. Is there anyway I can clean out the old oil without ripping it apart and having to rebuild it?

fill the core with some ATF or seafoam. Automatic transmission fluid have cleaning property ! I heard about that one time , maybe someone else can give is opinions before using mine lol

Try a mixture of seafoam, ATF, and Toluene. You'll have to fill the turbo from the drain and plug up the inlet and let it soak. Good luck!
