ok, so this isnt really a question i can get answered in a search

i havnt been to a skidpad event before, and im going on feb 13th to thunderhill

im gonna be rockin my 15's and im wondering how long the tires will last up there in the dry

they are cheapies...Barum Bravuris 2 195/60R15 88H BSW with a tread rating of 340

i say they have 80-85% tread left on them

i have a full set so i have two to burn, i have 2 steelies i can mount some falken Ziex ZE-512 too that have about 35-40% left

just want to know if i need to get them mounted and bring them along too or if the ones i got will work for they day... wanna be sure i get in as much time as possible

A set of New tires should last you a whole drift practice day if your a beginner.

since you Will be on the skid pad, im assuming most of the day. bring a set of 4 wheels+tires in the back of your car.

so mount those falkens and bring them.s*** happens.( blow out, bad tire etc)always good to have back ups.

you can easily fit 6 15in wheels and tires in your hatch.

yea i am a beginner probably not going to be sliding anywhere near the whole run

but yea, im hoping to pick up a set of steelies with tyres and if that dosnt work out ill mount the falkens to the steelies i got

ill be going up in xxr 002, then swapping the 15's on tearing up the rear, then the steelies then the front are going on the back and the 002 up front if it comes to that hahaha

thanks for the reply

j30 vlds, locks great, i pulled it out in third in the wet on a slight uphill so it works fine

i was hoping to only have to tear up 4 tyres max so i think i will be ok

the front 002's were a last resort if i had killed my other 4 somehow
