Quick tips for removing ECU in 2002 qx4?

Hello all,

I need to remove the ECM of my vehicle to get it rebuilt. Any tips as to getting to it? As I understand it correctly, its located in the front center console? Thanks and cheers!

EC-23 illustrates the location of the ECU. BT-22 describes how to remove the lower instrument cover to gain better access to the ECU. Be sure to disconnect both battery terminals and wait for at least three minutes before disconnecting the ECU harness.

Got it. ECM was actually within sight as you posted to someone else about your pathfinder. Didn't need to take anything apart, just some upside down spider-monkey positioning and a lil sweat. Thanks again. What part of Florida do you live in?

Glad to hear you've got it out fairly easily. I'm in Palm City, about half an hour north of West Palm Beach.
