Tonight I was draining my radiator (preparing to rip everything down), when I noticed the cable next to the throttle cable on the engine wasn't attached. This cable is the only other one attached at that point than the throttle cable, and it is on a separate cam. I didn't have time to go rooting through manuals to see what it is for, but I assume it is some sort of choke or fast idle cable. It went to a device positioned on the passenger side of the engine bay at the firewall.
I just wanted to know what that device is, what the cable does, and what having it unattached would cause.
