Quick TDC compression stroke question

When setting the No.1 cylinder to TDC on its compression stroke, would the cam lobes both be facing inward or outward. I have been trying to look to see when the both sets of valves are closed but I'm retarded. Thanks in advance

the knock pin for the exhaust cam should point upwards.

the knock pin for the intake cam should point out to 11 o'clock or so
