Okay...I am a student at the University of Florida and because parking is a pain in the *** I ride a scooter too and from school about 4 miles. No comments please. Anyways, today on my way home I had the pleasure of getting behind a VERY clean s14 whose tone was enough to bring chills and the blow off said I dare you. Everything was stock looking ish except for it was in the grass and had a nice set of rims. Other than that and the massive front mount it screamed sleeper. So as we approached a redlight I noticed a 2002ish civic coupe, also with a front mount, coming up from behind. Of course I got over so that they could line up and hopefully I would get to see some sort of race out of it. Well they did not disapoint and the ole 240 smoked him through second at which point they both slammed on brakes to make the next red light because of course they don't flow like they should. Apon my reaching the light the guy in the civic was bitching because he said he was on low boost and not high like he thought and the guy in the 240 replied with well I was too but thats all I need for you! Then it was on again and the 240 waxed his *** again while getting sideways as he blew by him. I was grinning like a little kid when I caught up again and I asked the civic if he wanted to run me next on the scooter. The guy in the 240 laughed and the civic turned right and that was that. I got a kick out of it and thought that I would share it with yall. Have a good weekend.

I did, I followed him for a while because that is the direction that I was going anyways and he pulled into the mall so I stopped and asked him about it. He was running an RB25 swap, fully built with a gt32r running 12lbs on low boost and also had settings at 18 and 23 for race gas. He said that he was putting down around 400 ish with a streetable tune but I am not sure how accurate that is, but why would he lie. We bs'd for a bit and then I was on my way.

Cool Story!! Your not the only one to have a Scooter!

I bought a 2008 Linhai/Yamaha Aeolus 150cc Scooter back in the summer when gas prices were near $4.00 gal. I love that Scooter! It runs 60mph and it is great to run down sidewalks or bike paths when you really need too. I certainly didn't do it everyday because I didn't need a cop pulling me over on a Scooter, but when traffic was the pits and the sun was beating down on you in DC traffic I had to do something! Two of my fellow co-workers also bought the same kind of Scooter as me, but different colors. I mainly used mine at work because I only worked 1hour 18 minutes in the morning and the evening and I had an 8 hour paid layover in Washington, DC. so we would ride all over downtown Washington, DC and over in Alexandria, VA. I took the Scooter home when the weather started to get a little cooler back in October and it is now garaged for the winter.

I have plans to move back to Northeast Florida where I am originally from soon so I'm sure my Scooter will see a lot more action when that time finally comes.

In my head i pictured this scooter chasing down 2 ultra fast import cars taking their battle to the asphalt.

Sounds lame but in my head it was REALLY funny.

Thank you for sharing the story! I enjoyed it!

One Love,

Ghasty
