well my z has been good to me (very good, not a damn problem and put 15k on it this one year)http://www.cardomain.com/id/s0m3th1ngbut i needed a new car and one with a little more power/styleso i spied in my local classifieds : SUPRA, turbo, engine overhauled and car repainted at 130,000 mi., 6-cyl., 5-sp., turbo, velour, pwr. seats, PW, cruise,AC, removable top, very nice cond. 1989 TOYOTA$2600 (my budget is 2800)really couldnt pass it upwent over witha buddy and checked it out... mint... guy in his late 60's, 2nd owner, had been keeping it in his garage for the past 3 years not driving it and is selling it to pay for his son's tuition.interior was perfect, exterior had not a scratch or dent, tires are 232 khumos with about 90% tread left, and the engine pulled hard in each gear to the redline, perfect shifts, blows hot and cold air. the only bad part was that a gurgling sound came from the engine coming down from rpms at idle . so i took it on over to my mechanic and no more sound! (think it was just because of the fact that it had been sitting there so long) and NOTHING wrong with it, no turbo shaft play, good comp throughout, little worn breaks but that can be fixed. left front shock is blown too but meh.really cant ask for a better deal when i see busted-*** 240's going for 3 grand, OTHER supra turbos going for 4-5 grand, etc. so im having some fun, sorry to betray the ol family (260 is gone by the end of march)ciao

Looks really clean. Sounds like you got a great deal. I was never partial to the looks of the Supra (not even the MKIV), but it's a great car. Good luck!

I'm gonna call him lucky.

And just me, I like the styling of the MKIII better than the Z31. Z32 is sweet.

Never really liked the MKIII myself, then again its way better than the Z31 of that era though. Congrats on a clean car at a good price though.

You still have the 260 or did you sell it?

I guess I wasn't the only one wanting one. I am thinking about giving up my Z for the same kind of Supra. For some reason that style has been my favorite for a very long time.

also scooch.. you got one hell of a deal.. that supra looks clean!. welcome to the club time to visit supraforums more often. you got one good deal. do you know if they replaced the headgasket w/ an oem one? that's probably the only thing you have to worry about now. that damn 7m toyota head gasket.

:edit: hehe okay. i missed a few posts. but hks is a good headgasket. but alot of supra owners are getting 600+ hp on the Cosmetic mhg. you may not be going that far on hp. but to be secure w/ a few lbs of boost

headgasket was replaced at 130k miles (its at 200k) so question (posting on supraforums too) will i be able to stay at stock boost and rag on it every once and a while and not worry about my damn engine popping a seal? this hg wariness worries me.
