Is it necessary to use the vacuum canister? If not how i properly plug the holes and stuff? Thanks in advance.

1: i personally use 10w30 on my car, and being in woodbridge, your climate isn't much different from mine, so you might wanna consider that weight.

EDIT: Make sure you use synthetic oil. It takes longer to break down due to the heat.

2: Oil feed line tighten to 14-23 lb ft, Oil return line - 9-12 lb ft. water feed tube - 14-23 lb ft, water return - 14-23 lb ft.

3: that can you're talking about is an oil catch tank. Leave it on. You can take the breather hose off, but make sure you put a small filter over it.

Use 80w-90 or 85w-90 in the gear box, the stinky stuff.Hondas use 10w-30/engine oil in their gear boxes for some strange raeson though. If you are referring to the catch tank on the left rear side of the head, then leave it there, your engine needs to breath.IF you are referring to an actual charcoal vacuum caninister, then ditch it, it is only for evaporative emissions. I dont know if 240sx's had those....

you were wrong again.... he was talking about the carbon canister...there is no real reason to not use it....so you might as well. I don't have mine on and i see no harmful effects though.

the black box near the valve cover isn't the carbon canister. The carbon canister is located near the air filter next to the fuse box and has a vac line running from the bottom port of the throttle.
