Quick/simple starter question...

I need a new starter for my S13. I was wondering if the starters are different on an automatic than on a 5-speed model. Does anyone know?

the best thing to do is take your old starter and compare to new one. bought a starter from canadian tire and it turned out to be the wrong one. only found out when it burned out. i know there are two different distributor caps for my car (91 240sx). i hope i bought the right one.
