Can a new OEM clutch disk have more than 4 pucks and still be "OEM"?

I am under the impression that the clutches are the same for 89 to 98 ka24e/de. Am I wrong?

I'm asking because I am looking at a used clutch and pressure plate on ebay for my transmission swap and I don't want to burn up a new one on the learning curve. This is from a 91 and it is going into an 89. Pic attached.

The seller says it was used for 100 miles then he got a motor swap. He doesn't say anything about it being "performance". I am just wondering if I am looking at something better than advertised or just normal.

Thanks

I don't think so. I believe that they go from 89-93. Then it is a different clutch. I know the LUK's are made like that. LUK is OEM.

that looks like the stock one i took out a month ago. make sure you get the right clutch to go with your flywheel, sohc & dohc had different flywheels/cluctches. basically if you have an SOHC flywheel you need the SOHC clutch. however the SOHC flywheel bolts onto a DOHC and vicea versa
