Quick Resale question.

I've been thinking about getting a HKS catback or apexi, but I was debating how long I would have this car. My question is would the aftermarket exhaust lower the resale? How about trade in value?

It could. It depends if the dealership that you trade it in at, pays attention to it. I think they would notice an HKS or any "fart can" style muffler.

Its not gonna lower the resale value. If you trade it in its not gonna raise it either. It can only help in private deals.

HKS is a great name and sounding exhaust. You can easily take it off and go back to stock and sell it to someone. That way it will be stock if you trade it in and you will recoup some of the initial cost on the exhaust.

Yeah, in the future it's most likely going to be a trade in. I'm thinking I'll keep the stock pipes just in case.

I really don't think they will give you less if you trade....However, I would keep the oem if I had room and swap it before I trade. Then sell the aftermarket.
