so i went out and bought myself a NRG thin quick release today(this one to be exact http://shop.tougefactory.com/products/N ... Black.html)
install went smoothly until i had to put my horn button in. i have a nardi 330mm.
but my horn button would not go in all the way. it sticks out like, half an inch

see what i mean?
the horn also works, but barely. it lets out this really quiet growl sounding noise
i thought about taking a dremel to the back of the horn button, but it wouldnt take enough off to let it sit flush.
has anyone else experienced anything like this before?

The easiest thing may be to buy a spacer.

ok cool. you think that would fix the horn? cause right now it sounds like that it the connection between the button and the QR is really weak.

Could be a bad connection or weak battery

Well I know its not the battery cause its only 2 weeks old. I'm thinking bad connection, but I didn't have the problem when it was just the wheel and hub. There's both a male and female connector in both side of the quick release, but there's only a female in the column and a male on the horn button. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it or not.

This happened to me, and i too have a nardi wheel. The horn on my nardi has a single connector in the center (pos+) and the metal contact on the outer rim (usually at the top) is the negative which needs to come in good contact with the inside of the metal hub. My horn wouldnt go in either so i dremel'd down the tabs a bit on the horn so it would sit flush. Problem fixed

You wouldn't happen to have a picture of that would you?
